The park
The Foreste Castentinesi is named for the Castentino, a strip of land which straddles the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.
High up in the appenines, this region is a true off grid nature reserve. Recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, the forest is a center of biodiversity.
If you keep a low profile, you’re sure to come across a group of grazing deer; possibly a wild boar or two. Look carefully and you may see wolf tracks on the ground.
